Overview: Long-Term Goals

Sponsor Humanity is a collective of passionate people who are sowing the seeds of connection, generosity, and kindness.  Our goals are three-fold:

1. Sponsor Humanity Mobile App: a network of support

2. Food Security Empowerment Initiatives 

3. Worldwide network of similarly-missioned organizations

These goals embody a holistic and measurable approach to fulfilling the human “Hierarchy of Needs” described in the motivational theory of Abraham Maslow: the basic needs of survival must be met prior to those of love and belonging, and all of these are prerequisites to realizing the highest needs of self-actualization and purpose.

• We will provide opportunities to meet the basic physiological needs of survival and safety for all human beings,
• We will create communities to meet the psychological/emotional needs of love and belonging, encouraging a sense of contribution, accomplishment, and appreciation.
• We will create the conditions for people to meet the highest needs of fulfilling their potential and purpose in life.

 The widespread stress caused by ongoing global challenges—including the pandemic, political unrest, and increasing polarization of beliefs—has made it difficult for many to find a sense of safety and stability. Lockdowns and social distancing measures have further strained our ability to connect and foster a sense of belonging. 

Our vision is to meet these basic needs of survival and community, thereby reducing this stress, improving health on every level, and increasing the likelihood of each person meeting their potential and purpose in life.
